The development team relied on the Investment Prioritization Model, which consisted of a comprehensive database hosted in Excel, encompassing a wide variety of projects from companies and public entities.
The goal was to evaluate the projects affiliated with the COMPASS program. In particular, this program aims to finance initiatives to improve the performance of the companies that offer potable water and sanitation services in Colombia.
The evaluation process contemplates specific objectives, such as improving investment or achieving greater coverage in the country. It prioritizes the most relevant criteria to obtain better results.
We needed to improve the functionalities within the model; therefore, we created interactive screens with graphics to display the interaction of the criteria in each project, according to the prioritization that each entity configured from the internally set objectives.
In this way, we transformed a simple Excel table into a platform with multiple views, allowing us to dynamically organize the relevant strategic points for analysis.
Methodologies for good development
During the process, the SCRUM methodology was adopted, allowing better time control for a more timely delivery.
A differential factor in the development process was the use of trending technologies; for instance, JavaScript, which ensured improved support and a contemporary approach to the solution.

To this end, a rigorous version control was implemented, ensuring that the base model remained intact and that all modifications would be recorded in another database for traceability.
