Companies with purpose: Tekbees’ success with inclusive employment
Companies are doing their part and contributing to society in a more meaningful way in a world that is constantly seeking inclusion and equity. Tekbees, a leading technology solutions company, excelled in the implementation of a successful solution for the Alcaldía Mayor de Bogotá´ program for Corprogreso´, focused on updating its SICOR´ information system. Companies interested in participating in the program had to follow a carefully designed process.
The objective was to optimize the flow of information by the requirements established by the Secretaría Distrital de Desarrollo Económico´, to boost employment. The project in question focused on the “Empleo Incluyente” program aimed at encouraging the hiring of populations with employability difficulties.
What made the Tekbees solution unique?
Focused on 19 specific populations that faced significant barriers to accessing the labor market, companies that hired people from these populations received financial benefits as an incentive.
They were enrolled by completing several detailed forms, which were validated and evaluated to determine if they met the criteria necessary to qualify for the benefits. Companies could receive 147.55USD, 221.32USD, and 516.41USD for contracts ranging from six months to one year, if extended beyond one year or indefinite, the benefits were doubled, encouraging companies to establish long-term employment relationships.
The solution implemented by Tekbees allowed companies to apply to the “Empleo Incluyente” program efficiently, thanks to advanced technologies such as Php 7.1.3 and Laravel 5.7. Specific modules were enabled for the registration of companies, the process of application, verification, approval, correction and/or rejection, management of the money bag of companies located in the Capital District and their employees were automated according to the established conditions, this structure greatly facilitated the process, ensuring that they could quickly access the economic benefits and at the same time contribute to the objective of labor inclusion.
The collaboration between Tekbees and Corprogreso´ resulted in an effective solution that facilitated the inclusion of populations with employability difficulties. It became an exemplary success story that demonstrates how technology can play a crucial role in promoting equality and inclusion in the world of work.
